Thank you – Our 3rd Anniversary

Thank you for bringing us to our 3rd Anniversary. Despite the disastrous fires and the global Pandemic over this timeframe, 2021 is shaping up to be our best, most vibrant year.  You, our clients, have continued to allow us to work with you to find furniture and design solutions for your home. We are truly grateful to be a part of your life and to make your homes a bit more comfortable.

As we celebrate our Anniversary, it’s an appropriate time to look back over the accomplishments you have enabled us to achieve together as we continue to invest in our community.

Fire Victims

We have been honored to be selected as the furniture provider by nearly 150 fire victim families in Mark West SpringsCoffey Park and Fountaingrove, listening to everyone’s amazing stories and working with them to recreate their homes. The $250,000 dollars of furniture discounts they have received allowed them all to have more money to buy things for their kitchens and apparel needs. We learned very early what “losing everything” can look and feel like, and as we have all come to learn, it goes way beyond a house, the furniture or clothing.

Recycling Your Furniture

When you ask us to take away your existing pieces of furniture, you will be happy to know that we always try to find homes for it, not send it to landfill. Many local “non-profits” and Max’s Home Care have been recipients of these items which they in turn then put into other’s homes or sell, putting those revenues to work in their organizations.

The Farming Community

We’ve also found a way to contribute to sustainable local farming practices. We receive a lot of furniture in very large boxes. Using NextDoor.com, we have passed along 1,000s of boxes and provided 10,000s of square feet of corrugated cardboard which is used by many different farms in Sonoma County. One chicken farmer uses it as a floor for her 100 chickens. The cardboard is eventually laid out and turned over so the droppings and the corrugate break down into the soil, enriching the soil and improving her vegetation quality and yields.

Bonnie’s Violin Album

Every month we receive so many notes thanking Bonnie for the beautiful string quartet music on her album that we give to Showroom Visitors. Little did we anticipate the reception this simple gesture would achieve over time. The music, from the playlist Bonnie created for her Dad’s Celebration of Life, seems to inspire so many people in such different and profound ways. We are grateful that more than 2,000 of you now have this album.

Our Product Range Growth

Thanks to everyone for suggesting additional home furnishings you want us to carry. As a result, we added entire categories of new suppliers in Home Theater Chairs, Lift Chairs, Mattresses & Adjustable Beds, Bedding & Ventilated Pillows, and Exposed Gear Clocks. It’s been a great learning effort for us to be able to properly understand the values, and style choices available in these different areas.

Furniture Rehabilitation

As of now, we are beginning to see more stability in the materials and production markets. Manufacturers are working through their backlogs of orders. The demand isn’t pulling back, which You’ve also encouraged us to find resources for you to repair your furniture, provide replacement motors and parts for recliners, and even reupholster.

local Retirement Community asked us to reupholster & refurbish all of their dining room chairs to make them look good as new. Restoring the original beauty of the furniture became the ‘talk of the town’ for current residents and those on sales tours. It saved thousands of dollars in replacement costs, as well as eliminating the challenge of finding a new home for nearly 100 used chairs. It was good for the planet and good for their pocket book.

We look forward to our 4th Year and many more of helping you bring your style to your home. Thank you for all of your support. We are so grateful to serve you through this business we have created with the mentorship and the 40 year legacy of Praetzel’s Fine Furniture.
