Our People

Meet Jack Rasmussen

As a youth, Jack made belts, gloves, and barrettes with his Grandfather which gave him a lifelong affinity for leather.

Having spent many years as a senior executive for two prominent credit and prediction companies, Fair, Isaac in Marin County (the FICO Score Company) and Experian, as well as a VP for two Artificial Intelligence firms, Jack knows intimately how to ask the questions that help clients find their best outcome.

Jack now puts his talents into helping people identify and understand what their personal style looks like in furniture.

For Jack, the relationship with the Customers, and helping to find a solution efficiently, is what he enjoys the most about his business. When you call the Showroom, it is likely Jack that will answer the phone to say hello and chat.

Meet Bonnie Rasmussen

Bonnie is a classically trained violinist that has performed in 300 weddings, and in more than 150 venues in the North Bay. She loves to create musical memories and bring joy during important occasions such as weddings, chamber performances, church worship services, and conferences, as well as teach the gift of the violin or viola to students of all ages.

Each store visitor receives a gift CD of Bonnie’s music.

Meet Paul Praetzel

Paul brings 40 years of Fine Furniture experience to the Company. Many locals still remember Praetzel’s Fine Furniture, the Family furniture store Paul had in this exact location for decades. Paul’s depth of knowledge in the world of furniture is remarkable, from how things are made to how they will wear, the best way to clean them, and to how they can be reinvigorated. All of the manufacturers represented at the Showroom are the best in class, thanks to Paul’s recommendations.

Paul’s family has lived in Sonoma County since the late 1800’s when poultry became the economic engine. He is a walking encyclopedia of information about the history of this community dating back over a century. Paul’s uncle even invented one of the first egg cleaning machines in the 1940’s.

In addition, we offer the 5-Year Accident Protection and Motor Replacement Plan.  The fee is usually less than what would be charged by the tech to assess the problem, order parts, and install them.
